Job Responsibilities

An environmental consultant may work across a range of specialist areas, typical activities are:

Requirements

  1. Degree or postgraduate degree in Environmental Science/Engineering.
  2. Registered with DOE as EIA Consultant / Assistant Consultant.
  3. Experience in environmental consultancy, especially in EIA, EMP, audits.
  4. Possess CESSWI certification.
  5. Preferably CPES certified.
  6. Trained in using AUTOCAD software and has working experience in using the software for charting maps.
  7. Minimum 3 years experience.
  8. Fluent in English.

ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL EXECUTIVE

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of Assistant Environmental Executive shall be as follows:

  1. To involve in the daily operation of report checking and preparation and work together closely with personnel in the administration department to produce reports that meet the requirements of the customers, SAMM accrediting scheme as well as internal and authority (DOE) specifications.
  2. To liaise with clients and other sections i.e fieldwork section & marketing section to gather required information and details for the purpose of completing report preparation. Meeting report delivery datelines should be your top priority in order to satisfy customer. We have a client charter of 14 working days that are obligatory for all the staff to meet.
  3. To attend / conduct weekly meeting with the administration staff and use this as an effective communication tool in the areas of work distribution, staff performance, delay, feedback from clients, special instruction, new reporting format, new job, challenges, suggestion and etc.
  4. To carry out trouble shooting for any technical and non-technical problem that may arise during daily work activities and to implement problem solving solution to overcome them and to ensure that similar problem will not recur in the future.
  5. To coordinate and update the maintenance and calibration records of all field sampling and testing equipment as instructed by manager (whenever it is applicable).
  6. To assist the manager in implementing education and training program aimed at improving the efficiency and working skill of the administration personnel.
  7. To implement all quality control activities as instructed by the manager as spelt out in the internal quality assurance programs as required by under the SAMM scheme (ISO 17025) in the daily administration operation.
  8. To attend site meeting with customer or perform site visit, inspection, sampling and testing related to your scope of work as and when directed by the manager.
  9. To protect the confidentiality of any information / data obtained during the course of carrying out his or her duties.
  10. To liaison with customer on matter related to reports and test results.
  11. To carry out any other duties related to the operation and management as may be directed by the manager from time to time.
